Mostly because the game is in St. Loo, but also because Yadier gets a lot of credit for being a defensive whiz.

He is, he stops the running game, but McCann is no slouch behind the dish either, and his bat makes up for the difference in D. McCann adds about one more win above replacement value for his teams, defensive metrics included. Molina is not a terrible choice really, but McCann deserves to start.

This is what happens when you give fans the vote, this and Fonzi finishing 4th in voting. The All Star game is a joke.
